JOL FAQ

What? - A summer jazz concert series in the historic Northwest Neighborhood that welcomes a variety of different groups throughout the summer.

When? - Jazz On Lincoln happens some Fridays in the summer (check our website, Facebook page, or text @jazzonl to the phone number 81010 to receive reminders of concert dates).

Time? - Jazz On Lincoln concerts run for about an hour and fifteen minute long set beginning at 7 PM. We encourage attendees to be prompt to enjoy the full time. Feel free to arrive early!

Where? - Jazz On Lincoln is hosted in the front yard of 77 W. Lincoln Ave in Delaware, OH. Audience members sit all around on tree lawns and sidewalks.

Parking? - Plenty of Delawareians walk or bike to concerts. If you are visiting us from further away, there is free street parking located all around our neighborhood. Bands often unload right in front of our house but then pull away to make sure the concert is visible.

What to Bring? - A folding chair, picnic blanket, snack, etc!

Tipping the Band? - All tips raised go straight to the band. We accept cash tips in either tip jar (there is a coffee can placed on both the north and the south side of the street) and also accept Venmo tips at @korey-black

Fundraising for the Concert Series? - We have a yearly t-shirt sale in the month of June to help sustain the concert series for summers to come. This years t-shirts are tie-dyed with the Jazz On Lincoln logo on the front and the Nina Simone quote “Jazz is not just music, it’s a way of life” on the back. T-shirts are available through midnight on 6/24 at www.imagemarket.com/JazzOnLincoln-SummerConcertSeries2022

Weather? - We don’t like to talk about it but sometimes Ohio weather has other plans for summer evenings then jazz. We watch the weather constantly during concert weeks and try to give as much notice to audience members as possible if there is a reason a concert has to be moved to a different day or time. Instruments, audio equipment and rain do not mix. Joining our text group by texting @jazzonl to 81010 is the most reliable way to make sure you know last minute changes.

Why? - Jazz On Lincoln is all about bringing a variety of live performers to our community. We are continuously thankful to see musicians and community members alike taking an hour out of busy schedules to communicate through the universal language of music. Whether you are one of our regular audience members, a first time concertgoer, or a musician, we could not do this without you and we are so thankful for you!
