Jasmine Spitzer Quartet (6/27)

From Jasmine:

"In recent months, I have slowed down on performance engagements. In a period of some deep reflection, I came to realize that I had created an unhealthy tie between performing and my own self worth. Instead of focusing on frequency of performances, I have turned my focus to intentionally programmed sets of music that means something to me and others.

I am very interested in the intersectionality of music and mental health, which I am actively exploring. My goal is to use my gifts to help others, and that was the goal of my recent debut album, “Here” recorded live at Ginger Rabbit Jazz Lounge on February 4, 2025. By writing songs about my personal struggles and triumphs, I healed parts of my heart that had been broken for far too long, As a result of sharing this music, I have received countless comments and messages about my words touching the lives and hearts of others. My goal as a performer is to have a positive and lasting effect on the people I get to interact with."
